I would dare say that this place has the best ramen in town. The staff is super attentive. Make sure when you enter the restaurant to put down your name on a list with your number to check in as the space is very small. With that said you won’t be disappointed with how good the food tastes. It seems everything is fresh and made to order. My go-to is the spicy miso ramen with handmade noodles and charsui pork belly. Some other highlights are the ginger pork soup dumplings, crab rangoon, garden spicy wontons, and I would highly recommend the honey garlic chicken. Something about the batter used for honey garlic is as good as you would find it in any Asian cushion restaurant. Shout outs to Katy and Linda. They will treat you like family. These ladies are the most hardworking servers you’ll find out there. I would highly recommend that you dine in even if the wait is long. You won’t regret it. Best Asian restaurant I’ve ever been to and I will say that the wait time is a bit of a pain but that’s very understandable considering the space. Once we sat down the food was done after 15 minutes! Such a cool spot right next to the market! The decor was perfect with all the anime and hanging lanterns! The takoyaki was perfectly cooked with a little runnyness inside and great flavor! The bonito flakes on top were stringy-like and super thin which I thought was much better than the traditional flakes! The ramen was on point as well with homemade noodles. The only thing I would change is the egg needs to be seasoned for longer but they may have just been made as the photos I’ve seen from previous patrons the eggs look marinated longer. Prices are fair, food is great, and the service is very attentive. My favorite thing is the spicy garlic edamame, that sauce is THE BOMB !!!!! Oh my goodness I had to ask for extra and added to my egg drop soup with the spicy seasoning they make in house. My goodness… it smells amazing. Whomever made it in the back, my respects. More

My mom and I stopped by Good Chef to browse their little market and decided to grab a bite at the restaurant while we were there. I’ll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It’s unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. The customer service wasn’t great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply — it was the worst crab rangoon I’ve ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn’t seem fresh at all — more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn’t find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots — and the anime vibe really had potential — but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn’t meet expectations. Do yourself a favor and visit! Friendly faces will greet you and you’ll be enamored with all the anime decorations. Most days, you’ll have to write your name down and wait, but you’ll keep busy with the great Asian market there. We always start off with a large selection of appetizers plus a boba tea. The portions are enough to share with the whole table. You can never go wrong with anything you order because everything is delicious! Leave space for the rainbow cake as dessert too. If you're looking for authentic flavors and great value, Good Chef is the place. We had a feast of dim sum pork and beef gyozas, siu mai, and dumplings plus a solid Tonkatsu Ramen. I absolutely loved this Japanese restaurant! The Pad Thai was incredibly delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. The place has a really cool Japanese-themed atmosphere with lots of traditional decorations. One of the best parts is the market in the back, where you can find many amazing Japanese products and unique items. Highly recommended!
